Moving....

All change is hard, even good change.  I have a big change coming up; Sparrow Counseling is moving to a new location!  712 Washington Street has been my home for the last year as I have built this business. It's been a good home; it's cozy, it's adorable and it's been a good home to hear your stories and be invited on your journeys. As much as I have enjoyed and loved this home, it is time to move this business to a new home. 
The good news is that the new place is only a few blocks away!  On June 1st, 2019 the doors will be opened at our new location - 409 Washington Street. For those of you  familiar with Shelbyville, you may recognize the address as belonging to the Spectrum Cable Company.  Which indeed it does. Sparrow Counseling will be located directly across the hall. 
One of the benefits of moving will be additional parking!  With the move, clients will now have the option of parking in a public parking lot instead of having to find a place on the street.  I am most excited about this as I know how challenging the parking situation has been at the current location. 
Sparrow Counseling will have its own private waiting room so you don't need to worry about people seeing you wait in the hallway while they are visiting the other businesses in the building.  I will continue to create the cozy and inviting environment you have become accustomed to.  And I will continue to provide you a space to grow and heal as you learn more about yourself and your life. 
One thing I've learned in my personal life is that "home" is not based on the location, or the furniture, or the neighborhood.  It is based on the people and the experiences. Those things will stay the same in the new location and I look forward to continuing the work in a new place.
